I used to be excited to draw from the lottery but last year or so...it became rare to get new stuff. I just gave up and spend zero gems. Let whatever come up... Come up.
You can use the duplicate stuff in the 'swap' to get gold, gems or more clothes to swap if you already own them

So if you like it or think it's useful... buy it.
If not, maybe save your gems, you'll always find something better.
